What does the Act say about partnerships?

It is unlawful to form a partnership or for people promoting the formation of a firm:

  • to refuse or to omit to offer a person admission to the firm as a partner;
  • to offer or afford a person less favourable terms and conditions as a partner;
  • to deny any partner increased status in the firm or an increased share in the capital or profits;
  • to expel any partner or subject any partner to any other detriment,

by reason of any of the prohibited grounds of discrimination.
