What does the Human Rights Act say about colour?

It is unlawful to discriminate on the ground of colour in any of the prohibited areas of public life.

  • Crew of non-New Zealand ships and aircraft.

In accommodation:

  • Shared residential accommodation.

  • Establishments for a particular race.
