Warren Lindberg

He is also public health planner at the Northern DHB Support Agency. Previously he managed the Ministry of Health’s Project to Counter Stigma and Discrimination Associated with Mental Illness, and from 1986 to 1998 he was Executive Director of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation.

For nearly twenty years before that Mr Lindberg was a teacher and community worker in Otara, South Auckland. His current voluntary commitments include the Board of the J.R. McKenzie Trust.

Mr Lindberg holds a Master of Philosophy degree, a Diploma in Teaching and a Certificate in Community Studies, and was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1999 for services to welfare.

Mr Lindberg resigned in February 2007 to take up a post with the Ministry of Health.
