Culture Company Reading4U Inc

Culture Company Reading4U Incorporated (CCR4U) is registered as a charitable entity with the Charities Commission in New Zealand. The commitment of CCR4U is to bring different cultures together. Through its Volunteers it delivers The 1,2,3 Repeat Read Aloud Programme for Adults.

CCR4U uses the 1,2,3 Repeat Read Aloud Programme for Adults to organise Readers and Volunteers to meet as teams in public libraries. The programme actively teaches language learning readers (Readers) and reading volunteers (Volunteers) how to better treasure and read the diversity of books under the care and protection of public libraries. It trains Volunteers to read aloud one-on-one to Readers. The Readers choose a book for the Volunteers to read to them. The Readers then repeat read the book aloud back to the Volunteers. Afterwards the Readers may repeat read the book as many times as they need by themselves (with or without a tape).
