Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association
The Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association (HKNZBA) has been helping foster business links since it was founded in 1988. Membership has grown to include major corporations, SMEs and individuals, some whom have joint membership with our sister organisation, the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
HKNZBA works with Hong Kong Inc., Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Invest Hong Kong and Hong Kong Tourism Board to provide its members with a solid network of contacts in Hong Kong and substantial databases.
Similar links are in place with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
HKNZBA is a member of the Hong Kong Federation, a unique network of 33 Hong Kong Business Associations in 24 countries with over 11,000 individual associates, which offers membership advantages in Hong Kong. HKNZBA welcomes new members with business links with Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Festival 2011
Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association (HKNZBA) organised the inaugural Hong Kong Festival in 2009. The Festival provided an opportunity for Aucklanders to learn about Hong Kong through films, trade seminar, trade exhibition and business networking opportunities. The festival was supported by Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) and other corporate sponsors.
HKNZBA organised the second festival in 2010, and won the Best Initiative Award 2010 from the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide. The Best Initiative Award recognises associations/chapters for best individual events and projects. The event, in addition to the films and banquet dinner, included a film premiere launch and cocktail function and photographic exhibition was installed. The Festival was a real success not only for HKNZBA, but for Newmarket businesses as it brings in non-regular shoppers to Newmarket and the Rialto shopping centre and cinema.
In 2011 the team is looking to bring a greater and better Hong Kong Festival to Auckland. We wish to bring vibrancy and passion during the cold winter months of August 2011; we wish to bring HK to Auckland!
Date: 4 – 18 August, 2011
Venue: Various, Auckland
