NZ Filifest Group

The NZ Filifest Group ( Filipino Festival Dance Group), organised by Anita Mansell and Esmeralda Young ,Filifest has for the last 5 years mounted a successful performance in Wellington, Rotorua, Hamilton and Auckland, performed in Te Papa, Danz, Parliament, Philippine Independence day and organised the Labour weekend 2009 Annual Festival.

Objectives:

To preserve for posterity music and folk dances indigenous to the different regions of the Philippines.

To promote awareness and understanding of the Philippines to the wider communities in NZ .

To enriched and set up link for cooperation with other group that have similar aim and objectives.

To provide advice, guidance to classes, meetings, workshops, cultural events.  Encourage members to participate and excel in cultural ad recreational activities.
