Wellington Regional Asian Health Alliance

Wellington Regional Asian Health Alliance

Wellington Regional Asian Health Alliance (WRAHA) is a community-driven alliance of the Asian communities living in Wellington. The pan-Asian group was established to raise awareness of health issues facing more than 36,000 Asians residing in the greater Wellington region.

The board is made up of representatives who are dedicated and passionate to improve the health of the diverse Asian communities living in the region. We anticipate running targeted-community projects in the future.

We welcome people from different Asian communities to engage with us around health issues facing our communities.

In 2010, we successfully undertook a “Health and Wellbeing Event” for the Indian community in the Wellington region. During this event we also undertook a Health Survey and we are currently analysing the responses.
