Fetu Taiala Aoga Amata

Fetu Ta’iala have two separate rooms that are filled with a variety of age and culturally-appropriate resources, one room is specifically designed for the under two children, and the other for our over two year old children. We have two teachers working with our under two and three teachers working with the over twos.

The delivery of our programmes for all children derives from an Emergent Curriculum approach which focuses more on ‘child’s interest’. Fetu Ta’iala staff are fully trained in this area and are always working alongside our children to find out what interests, strengths, and challenges they have.

Our programme also aims to include the needs and aspirations of our parents, and aiga, making important links to special occasions such as Christmas, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Easter, White Sunday and so on. The delivery of our programmes is implemented in the gagana Samoa (Samoan language) paying much respect to our Samoan cultural values and practices.
