Holi – Festival of Colours
HUMM FM in association with Bhartiya Samaj will be hosting a celebration for the Holi festival on 25th February in Auckland.
Holi is the Indian festival of colors, which stands for cultural integration. It’s a day when everyone comes together for some fun with colours, have thandai ( a traditional Indian herbal drink) and lots of fun. Holi is all about colors, water, food, music and a day to make new friends!
This festival will be a family affair with live entertainment including bhangra, bollywood and western music with a LIVE DJ, lots of entertainment, rides for children, etc. Free herbal gulal will be provided to play Holi. This may well become the ‘Official’ Holi event of Auckland – an event of integration of all cultures. Like Guy Fawkes, this day is celebrated across all communities, but with color & music. This is a free community event, where everyone is welcome to come. There will be lots of food and refreshments on sale.
