Manurewa Marae

Manurewa Marae is a beautiful marae sitting on 1.6ha. Set on the shores of Te Manukanuka o Hoturoa (ManukauHarbour). Below is a photograph of our beautiful sunset of theManukauHarbourwhich you can see from the back of the balcony of Matukutureia.

The Manurewa marae was originally initiated by the vision and passion of a handful of whanau living in Manurewa, who wanted a Marae to support Tangihana (funerals) and ensure that Maori Tikanga (practices), Kawa (protocols) and heritage were maintained. The marae has now grown, with the community into a beautiful safe haven, where whanau, organisations and people of all cultures can come and learn in a vibrant and sacred setting.

We have people from different countries, ethnicities, and backgrounds who hire the marae, for all different occasions. It is our privilege to share our unique culture and marae with each and every one of you, who are willing to learn. We hope your stay with us, will be unforgettable and the memories an experiences will enrich your lives.
