Dame Susan Devoy celebrates International Women's Day with young Muslim leaders

In celebration of International Women's Day, Race Relations Commissioner​ Dame Susan Devoy attended the "Honouring our mothers" event held by a young Muslim women's leadership group in Auckland. 

The event, which took place on the 7th of March, also acknowledged women who had just completed a youth leadership course and Dame Susan was delighted to present them with their certificates.

The Umma Trust in conjunction with Al-Nejashi Trust, Auckland Council and E Tu Whanau organised the days festivities, which were also attended by the New Zealand Police.
