Crown Entities: Aging Workforce Survey

In September the Commission in partnership with The Office for Senior Citizens, OCG Consulting and Lonergan Research Ltd conducted an ageing workforce survey with Crown entities.


Results from the survey show among other things:

  • Crown entity employers generally view older workers as being more productive than their younger counterparts;
  • A high proportion of Crown entities have an over-representation of older workers;
  • 50% of respondents aged 50+ do not feel confident they have enough savings to carry them through retirement;
  • Older workers remain motivated and seek challenges in their work.

The Commission will follow-up the results of the survey with Crown entities this year.
